What I Think... (30.06.10)
I'm really enjoying the course so far. I've always been interested in music videos but have never given much thought to how they are actually made so it's gonna be really interesting to finally be behind the camera making my own music video :D
We met Jake, who is an actual music video director (!!) He gave us a really good insight into what the life of a director is like and some really good advice.
- Don't take the lyrics of the song literally "my baby, my darling, i've been taking a beating" does not mean that she was beaten up.
- Listen to the artist and incorporate their vision with your own.
- BE CREATIVE !
I'm really looking forward to the workshop day. I've been cast as the teacher (who is actually a male) but I'm gonna go for the stereotypical "sexy teacher" look; blouse, tie, glasses and all !
It's gonna be interesting to work both infront and behind the camera and to bring out my inner showgirl !
