First of all, I LOVE this song (!) The emotion expressed in the lyrics means that almost any listener can relate to it.



The narrative of the music video is very effective as it fits with the theme of the song; Don't take what you have for granted because you'll miss it when it's gone.


I like the mix of narrative and some performance of the song. There are shots where Alicia is singing directly to camera and engaging the audience, making them feel like she is pouring her heart out to them.


This is a perfect example where the video theme is relevant to the song title. "Like you'll never see me again" sums up many life lessons and makes you want to turn to your loved ones, let them know you appreciate them and live life to the fullest; enjoying every day as if it is your last.

I'm really enjoying the course so far. I've always been interested in music videos but have never given much thought to how they are actually made so it's gonna be really interesting to finally be behind the camera making my own music video :D

We met Jake, who is an actual music video director (!!) He gave us a really good insight into what the life of a director is like and some really good advice.

• Don't take the lyrics of the song literally "my baby, my darling, i've been taking a beating" does not mean that she was beaten up.
• Listen to the artist and incorporate their vision with your own.
• BE CREATIVE !
